Tim Tregoning

Tim Tregoning was born and raised in Bakersfield, Ca. His family were active members of the Kern County Boat Club, affording him the opportunity to grow up on the shores of Lake Ming, Ca immersed in the sport of Drag Boat Racing and  eventually racing in the Competition Flat Bottom class. Upon graduating high school, Tim joined the Coast Guard making a career as a Surf-man operating Motor Lifeboats up and down the west coast and serving in multiple command positions. His last duty assignment brought Tim and his family to the Oregon Coast. Tim and his wife Amy were excited to introduce their kids to Drag Boat  Racing and join the CDBA family where they both serve on the Safety/Rescue Team. Tim assumed the duties of CDBA Commodore in 2021. His family enjoys racing in the Personal WaterCraft class with his son, Jon, at the helm and building their Blown Alcohol Hydro to debut in 2023 at racing.
